The center consists of 10 faculty members, among whom are 7 professors, 7 doctoral supervisors and 2 associate professors, and 1 lecturer. Its main research fields include video coding, multi-media information retrieval and processing, face tracking and recognition, hand gesture recognition, brain machine interface and so on. In recent year, it has undertaken more than 40 scientific research projects, including National High-tech R&D Programs of China (863 Program), programs supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and other scientific research projects at provincial and ministerial level. 5 national and 17 provincial prizes for Science and Technology Progress Award and 5 software copyrights are obtained. Over 450 papers are published in/at domestic and international journals and conferences and 5 works have been published.
