Liu Bo

Liu Bo, lecturer. He received his Ph.D degree in Artificial Intelligence and Signal Processing from HIT in 2010, and became a faculty of the Center for Bioinformatics in early 2011. From September, 2014 to September, 2015, he visited University of Toronto as a visiting scholar, and worked with Prof. Michael Brudno. As an important member, in last five years, he participated in a couple of fundamental Bioinformatics and Biomedical Informatics research projects of China, including “Digital medicine project and technology project” (grant by National 863 Program of China, funding: 200 million yuan), “Research on the critical technologies of the development and application of biological bigdata” (grant by National 863 Program of China, funding: 180 million yuan), “Research on the critical technologies of the integration and information service of microbial digital resources” (grant by National 863 Program of China, funding: 4.2 million yuan).

His current research interests are (but not limited to) advanced bioinformatics algorithms, large amount sequence analysis methods, biological big data indexing and management, high-throughput sequencing data analysis. He has published 15 technical papers in highly reputed academic journals, including Bioinformatics, BMC Bioinformatics, Pattern Recognition, etc.
